Dandi Biyo

Dandi Biyo uses two sticks: a long one called the dandi, and a short one called the biyo. You use the dandi to pop the biyo into the air, then hit it again to send it flying, while the other side tries to catch it before it lands. It's one of the oldest stick games in South Asia. The rules change from village to village, so GameKud's version is just one simple way to play it — not the one official way.

How it's played

  1. The dandi is the long stick you hold. The biyo is the short stick you hit. In GameKud's version, you play alone, one turn at a time.
  2. Launch: tap at the right moment to pop the biyo into the air with the dandi. Good timing gives a clean launch.
  3. Strike: while the biyo is in the air, tap again to hit it for real. This is the main skill — better timing sends it further.
  4. Fielding: after you strike it, the field tries to catch the biyo before it lands. A catch means you're out; if it lands first, the distance becomes your score.
  5. You get a set number of turns. Your best distance and total score are both tracked, and you can pick an easier or harder difficulty.
  6. Dandi Biyo is played differently from place to place. This version keeps the fun timing-and-distance idea, rather than copying one exact set of local rules.
  7. Play now — pick a difficulty, tap to launch and strike, and see how far you can get across five turns.
