Ludo

Ludo is a classic board game for up to 4 players. Roll a die to bring your tokens out, move them around the board, and get all 4 home before anyone else. Ludo is played all over Nepal and South Asia — no single person invented it. GameKud uses one simple, clear set of rules, instead of every regional house rule.

How it's played

  1. Each player has four tokens. They start out safe in their own home yard.
  2. Roll the die on your turn — you need a 6 to bring a token out onto the board.
  3. Move a token forward by the number you rolled. Rolling a 6 also gives you another turn.
  4. Land exactly on an opponent's token to send it back home — unless it's on a safe square.
  5. Once a token makes it all the way around, it heads up its own colored path home. You need the exact roll to reach the center.
  6. The first player to get all four tokens all the way home wins the game.
  7. Ludo has many house rules around the world — GameKud keeps to one clear, simple set of rules.
